Make a claim

• Make sure that you and your passengers are safe.
• If anyone is hurt, contact emergency services immediately. You will receive an incident number or police report: make sure to hold on to it, since we will need it.
• If nobody is hurt, exchange information with the people involved in the accident. Use a Joint Report to help you.
• Take pictures of the vehicle registration certificate, certificate of insurance, and driver’s licence of the driver involved in the accident to make sure you have all the necessary information. Pictures of the scene of the accident and damage to the vehicles involved can simplify the claims process.
• If your vehicle is too damaged to drive, call a towing service to move your vehicle from the road.
• In the event of vandalism, a hit-and-run accident, theft or a fire, make sure to fill out a police report, since we will need it later.
• It is important never to admit responsibility for an accident. Only your insurer can accept or deny the claim.
